Greenwood Amplifiers is located within Rogue Planet Music 4211 Chamberlain Ave. Des Moines, Iowa

You can drop off between 11AM-6PM Tuesday - Saturdays

When you drop off there will be a form for you to fill out — giving information about the amp and what issues it has.

Once you are checked in you will pay the deposit / minimum bench fee of $100. Minimum bench fee covers diagnostic time, written estimate and minor repairs.

The shop rate is $135/hr

Turnaround times are generally in the 2-6 week range depending on complexity of repair and how busy the shop is.

Warranty, all repairs are warrantied with parts and labor for 60 days

Whether your amplifier needs a new tube set or a complete restoration, we’re here to help. We specialize in a wide range of services including recapping, component upgrades, mods, cleaning, and re-tubing.

We have a particular passion for working on vintage guitar amplifiers and handmade boutique amplifiers. We’re experts with brands such as Fender, Marshall, Valco (Supro, Silvertone, Gretsch, Airline), Ampeg, Hiwatt, and more.

While we specialize in tube audio equipment, we’re also happy to discuss and work on solid-state projects, including vintage receivers from iconic brands like Marantz, Pioneer, Sansui, McIntosh, and others.

Turntable Services

Our expertise extends beyond amplifiers. We also provide turntable setups, tonearm rewiring, cartridge alignments, and general audio consulting.
